Homelessness is solvable, even in these challenging times. This course will explore key dynamics in homelessness, evidence-based practices for addressing homelessness, disparities in homelessness, and an overview of how the homeless response system works. This course is designed for anyone, whether or not you work in homeless response. Staff who are new to homeless response, volunteers, researchers, students, and neighbors who care about supporting people experiencing homelessness will find it especially helpful.
The CoC provides this NAEH training for free to its members (as long as funding is available). Please email housing@flint.org if you are interested in this course.

Diversion. Homeless diversion is a short-term, problem-solving intervention that helps people in an immediate housing crisis avoid entering emergency shelters or the streets. It focuses on early intervention, using conflict mediation, creative planning, and financial assistance to help individuals quickly secure safe, alternative housing. Presented by OrgCode here.
